Sinful silhouette #sinfulsunday

I do love the contrasts in black and white . . . pictures silly!!! . . . so as this week’s Sinful Sunday theme is Black & White, I thought I would share my Tunnel silhouette from a recent holiday exploration.

Modesty Ablaze Tunnel SilhouetteThe original (colour) photograph is further down, at the bottom of this post and is almost black and white in it’s original form. But when attempting to change it into just black and white I selected the wrong filter by mistake . . . and it turned to “negative”. I rather liked it actually . . . so I thought it would be fun to include it here as well.

Modesty Ablaze's Tunnel in Negative

And as I mentioned, the original photograph is sort-of, almost, black and white because of the darkness of the tunnel . . . but it’s been so much fun experimenting between the two that I’m now not sure which version I prefer!!!

Modesty Ablaze in the TunnelsYou can see lots of other Black & Whites at this week’s Sinful Sunday by giving a great big kiss to the lips below!

  2. The first image is my favourite, I think; I really like the fact that the light behind your head makes you look like you’re wearing a halo. 🙂 Jane xxx

  3. silverdomuk

    Yes, halo, definitely. 🙂

  4. The first one is definitely my favorite, but I like how the negative one turned out too 🙂

  6. Wow – beautiful, ethereal and powerful x

  7. Very cool! I have a “thing” for silhouette shots (though I can never seen to take any!).
    I chuckled over the negative… 🙂

  8. The original has that little bit of soft warmth colour from your skin tones that actually seem to highlight the darkness of the tunnel but I really love the negative version, it has an amazing haunted/ghost feel to it

I do like the ghostly image of the negative but the contrast of the B&W is stunning.

  11. Oh lovely and that negative image makes you look like a luminessent ghost which I kinda like!
