Modesty Ablaze and the “Satisfyer Pro Series” @SatisfyerCOM

I know that suction-style, clitoral stimulators are not for everyone . . . but ever since I first came into contact (literally as well as figuratively) with the Satisfyer range early last year, I’ve loved regularly reaching into my bedside drawer for my favourite Pro 2.

So I was absolutely thrilled to receive three of the next generation, “Satisfyer Pro”, series recently.

And what made me even more excited on first opening the box, was to discover three quite different toys within . . . because the new “Pro Series” comprises of the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit, the Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples and the Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibrator.

Now as always with new play-things, I like to experiment . . . and experience . . . them over the course of several weeks. I find that different situations and different moods allow me to discover what I like, and perhaps what I don’t, about a new toy, rather than rushing headlong into making an instant judgement.

So . . . over the course of the next month or so, I shall be “reviewing” each of the new Pro Series Satisfyer’s separately here at my Toy Review pages.

But, in the meantime, the lovely people at Satisfyer have a very special
Easter Weekend Discount Offer which I am delighted to share with you . . .
25% OFF
any of their wonderfully fun range of toys!!!

The offer is open to readers from within Europe, Canada or the USA only, between March 30 and April 2, when ordering any items from their lovely website at: www.satisfyer.com.

Just enter my Modesty Ablaze discount code of  modestylablaze25
at checkout, to take advantage of the already amazingly reasonable prices
for even less.

PLUS . . . I have even more Satisfyer-ingly exciting news, and a little challenge, to share with you. Sally at Satisfyer has given me one extra of each of the three Pro Series toys above to give-away, absolutely free.

So, what I shall do, over the next month or so, is to make a subtle mention or hint, of something “Satisfyer-ing” within the text of my occasional blog-postings here. It won’t be in every post, and as I say, I hope to make the hints quite subtle, but the first reader to message me from myContact Modesty form quoting the specific “hint” in the relevant post, will win one of the three Pro Series toys. It will be first-come, first-served . . . and due to postage etc. will only be available to my readers within the UK. But I’m sure it will be fun . . . and “satisfying” . . . for all of us.

So, keep reading . . . and don’t forget that Special 25% OFF Easter Weekend offer using my discount code above.

You can read my previous “Satisfyer-ing” experiences >here< and >here<.

Enjoy !!! Xxx – K

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Stinger” spanking paddle from @GratefulPain

If you are a regular visitor to my blog pages here at Modesty Ablaze, you will already know how much I enjoy my Mistressing. And one of the activities I most enjoy with my willing submissives, is administering some fun “impact play”.

I have collected quite a diverse array of impact implements over the past few years, but it is always fun to try something new! So I really was quite excited to recently receive a brand new, spanking paddle from Gratefulpain.

Excited by the look and “feel” of the paddle but also excited because, like all of the items available at Gratefulpain, the paddle was lovingly hand-crafted here in the UK.

GP use locally sourced timber . . . and kiln-dry it themselves . . . and that passion for detail in their manufacturing process was immediately apparent when I unwrapped it’s protective packaging, and ran my hands over the lovely handle and firm blade.

The paddle I was sent is, appropriately, called The Stinger . . . more on that later I can assure you!!! Mine has a Yew handle, the wood traditionally used for English longbows apparently, but there are a variety of options available. You can choose between Cherry, Alder or Olive Ash if you prefer. But, as I say, mine is Yew and it does feel wonderfully smooth and comfortable to hold . . . and I shall take great delight in explaining the longbow connection on each occasion I wield it, imagining myself as an over-excited Maid Marion exacting retribution amongst the trunks of Sherwood Forest.

The handle is 5 inches long (almost 130mm) and as you can see from my photos, has a curved shape tapering down from 35mm at the wider top to 20mm in width at the neck as it meets the blade. The shape fits my hand perfectly and is wonderfully smooth, so especially comfortable during prolonged use without any of the jarring, or discomfort, I sometimes experience with my more square-cut handled paddles.

The blade itself is made from Ashwood with an attractive grain running the complete 17 inches (435mm) of it’s length. It is 40mm wide and 6mm thick, and amazingly firm and rigid without feeling heavy at all. At least to hold and wield that is . . . I’m told that in “contact” it feels quite heavy indeed. And with a total length (including the handle) of 22 inches (560mm) it is certainly a very impressive looking, and feeling, instrument.

And I LOVE the dull slapping-thud sound it makes on impact. The first sub I used it on . . . two weeks ago now . . . described it after a few hard strokes as “like being hit with a cricket bat”. I laughingly replied “Well it’s much, much lighter to swing than a cricket bat would be . . . and I’m just going to keep going on and on, imagining your bum is a big red cricket ball!” It certainly did leave wonderful red blushes across both his cheeks, without breaking skin or leaving large welts. And I know he enjoyed it because he has requested I bring it along again for his next session.

And, in the meantime, I shall be using it again with a different slave this weekend . . . so check back here for future updates on how the “Stinger” has been received by different recipients in the coming weeks.

My only criticism of my “Stinger”, is that it didn’t have a cord or strap with which to loop it around my wrist as I occasionally pause whilst administering a paddling. And also with which to hang it up in my “Canes, Whips, Crops & Paddles” cupboard.

BUT . . . Gratefulpain tell me that a wrist loop is an option which can be requested, or selected, during the ordering process on their website. The wrist-loops are made from platted leather cord, (with para cord options soon to be available). The cord is attached to the very end of the handle, secured vertically into the centre from the top of the handle, so as not to impede with ones hand whilst holding and striking.

So, that minor aesthetic issue aside, I absolutely love my “Stinger” . . . and I really do recommend you visit their excellent website, from my Ratings Panel below, for more information on an impressively wide range of quite-unique, handcrafted, impact instruments and BDSM fetish items.

Modesty Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros: Wonderfully hand-crafted. Strong, comfortable handle and smooth firm blade.
Cons: Mine came without a wrist-loop, but as mentioned above this is available when ordering.
Material: Locally-sourced, kiln-dried wood.
Measurements: Overall length 22 inches (560mm). Handle length 5 inches (130mm) and 30mm wide at it’s widest point. The blade is 17 inches (435mm) long, 40mm wide and 6mm thick.
Noise: A lovely slapping thud.
Colour: Natural wood.
Waterproof: No . . . you shouldn’t use in the shower!
Cleaning: I always wipe clean with an anti-bacterial wipe after use. GP advise to wipe with butchers block oil from time to time. (Leave for a few minutes to penetrate wood and then wipe clean).

I realise, of course, that there are already thousands of long-established Sex Toy Reviewers and Review sites . . . most of whom will be far more adept at explaining all the technical details and specifications of things. But for me, sexy clothes and lingerie, sexy toys . . . and even sexy books . . . are all about adding a little fun and excitement to things. So that is how I tend to approach my reviews and videos!!! Just to explain “how it was for me” in a fun, and light-hearted, way without taking things too seriously! Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Satisfyer Pro Next Generation” @SatisfyerCOM

One can never have too much of a good thing . . . especially when those good things are as Satisfyer-ing as lovely playtimes with one of my favourite accessories for 2017, the Satisfyer 2.

You may remember that earlier this year I was thrilled to review not just the Satisfyer 2, but the Satisfyer Pro 2 and the Satisfyer Pro Penguin as well. And as I said at the time, although I enjoyed them all, it was the perhaps slightly “older-styled” 2, that I instantly fell in love with . . . and has remained at the top of my toy-drawer ever since. Why? Well firstly because it’s wonderful suction-cup-mouth just seemed the perfect shape, size and fit for my clit. But mainly because it’s so simple-to-use control button, allows one to cycle up and down in intensity . . . and suckability . . . which means I can adjust the pace, and teasing sensations, to suit my mood and thoughts at the time. Neither the Penguin Pro, nor the Satisfyer Pro 2, allowed that same flexibility of play at that time.

But last month, just days before I set off for my summer vacation, the lovely people at www.satisfyer.com sent me their intriguingly titled “Next Generation” series of the Penguin and Satisfyer Pro 2. And I was delighted to learn that, along with several other new features, that oh-so-important function of upwards-and-downwards control had been added to both of their new models.

Now I never take a large case on holiday . . . after-all I rarely need much in the way of clothes!!! . . . but it was an easy decision to find the room for my new
Pro 2. (More on the Penguin later).

And I am so glad that I did . . . because the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation quickly became one of (the many) fun highlights of my holiday.

On first glance it is very similar to it’s earlier version. The stylish outer box and hygienic seal remains almost the same, as does it’s interior moulded plastic base for the USB charging cable and the Pro 2 itself.

The actual sizing and technical details can be viewed in my usual “Modesty Ratings” panel at the foot of this blog, so let’s go straight to the . . . Satisfyer-ing . . . bits because it truly, truly is even better than before and has even replaced the prototype 2 in my affections as my new favourite playmate.

The accompanying letter from Satisfyer highlighted five “What’s new?” bullet-points.
“- whisper quiet mode” Well, yes it is quieter than previously, though I certainly wouldn’t describe it as a “whisper”. The noise of it’s predecessor never really bothered me anyway, particularly as my gasps and groans (screams even!), almost always drown-out everything else in the proximity anyway. But yes, it is quieter.
“- with new engines” I never felt power was a problem with either the 2 or the Pro 2 before as they were both able to give me enough intenstiy. But the power definitely does seem even stronger than before (and I think this is certainly more noticeable in the Penguin Next Generation).
“- with a smoother start” I personally don’t notice any discernible difference in starting-up . . . but that’s possibly because, by now, I’m already tingling from the moment I first cradle it in my hand.
“- less bright lights” The light on the power button is certainly not as bright. But I must confess that was never a concern for me anyway. (I normally close my eyes quite quickly once I’ve turned the Pro 2 on !!!)
“- speed control with +/- buttons” – Oh Yes !!! For me, this is the most important improvement in the Next Generation versions. Not just in the flexibility, and change of pace, that being able to change the intensity of that glorious sucking allows . . . but also the fact that the button itself is larger and more intuitive to the feel, and therefore easier to adjust, than on the previous version.

And, for me, there is one more reason why I so love the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation . . . and that is it’s “mouth”. It is slightly larger and I think ever-so-slightly more oval in shape, than previously and so seems to fit me, and my special joy-spot, much more nicely . . . and enjoyably. Perhaps that is just a personal thing as one size doesn’t fit all, but in this case it seems to pull me in like a magnet, every time I reach for it.

Now, I’m not going to repeat all the descriptions about it’s size, and shape, and colour, nor about the USB charging requirements etc. . . . you can read about all of those things in my previous review >here< because those things haven’t discernibly changed.

BUT, I did want to mention one thing that I wasn’t completely sure about in the original specifications that had arrived with those first three Satisfyers earlier in the year. And that is whether or not they were completely waterproof. Well . . . being on holiday on my favourite Grecian Island, and spending hours every day on the beach, I simply couldn’t resist testing my Pro 2 Next Generation underwater. Yes in the ocean!!!

The people at Satisfyer probably wouldn’t recommend using their Pro 2 completely immersed in salt water . . . BUT I can certainly tell you that I did. On a number of occasions and with lots (and lots and lots) of enjoyment as you can see from the pictures below and . . . if you are really curious, from the movie-clip on my MakeLoveNotPorn #realworldsex videoSummertime Fun.

And also by the way, as I discovered during that same video, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation, isn’t just for clittoral stimulation, because I used it on Hubby who erupted like a volcano within just a few minutes of me applying it to the tip of his erection.

Anyway . . . back to it’s waterproof-ability . . . yes it’s still working perfectly here at home, on dry land, a month or so later!

As I mentioned, the Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation  also arrived at the same time as it’s larger sister, but I didn’t take it on vacation with me . . . you don’t think I’m that greedy do you??? But I have, of course, tried it on several occasions since my return.

I do love it’s new look and I think the black colour (complete with it’s fun, cute bow-tie) makes it much more attractive than it’s previous Pink colour. So it really does suit it’s Penguin name.
It has the same improvements as the Pro 2 in that it is quieter, more powerful and has the ability to increase and decrease the intensity upwards and downwards.

However, I must confess that I find the button much more difficult to operate and synchronize than the Pro 2. The “dew-drop” shaped button serves as both the “on-off” switch and for controlling the intensity levels. But for me it is just too clumsy and frustratingly difficult for me to work consistently, and so consequently I lose my concentration . . . and patience. It is a shame really, because once I do get it turned on, it’s power does seem noticeably higher and stronger than previously. But it’s just that clumsiness that makes it lose its appeal for me.

But then, I just reach for my Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation and immediately forget about any other distractions!!!

So . . . just to summarise each of my Next Generation Satisfyer experiences . . .

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Satisfyer Pro Penguin, Pro 2 & 2” @SatisfyerCOM

I love vibrators . . . now, I know that some ladies say they don’t like to use them because they feel it’s not natural, or perhaps that if they start to use them too often they won’t be able to be aroused, or achieve an orgasm, by any other means.

But I just love trying different toys and new designs, and different and new shapes and sizes. Of course, some work for me, and some don’t . . . or some work for me in different ways . . . but I’m always excited to try something new and different.

But I’d never had the pleasure of experiencing a suction-type vibe before. Until recently that is when not one, but three, arrived in my postbox, all at the same time. Not exactly three completely different ones, as they are all from the same manufacturer . . . Satisfyer at www.satisfyer.com . . . and are all of the same, or similar, suction-style family. But, nevertheless, three different designs, shapes and sizes.

Now, as I said, I do LOVE trying new Toys . . . and several years ago when I first began doing product reviews here at my Toy Reviews pages, I initially thought I had to form an instant opinion from the moment I first opened, and turned-on my new toy. However . . . over a period of time, I’ve found it much better to base my opinion, and my review . . . by taking my time, and coming back to my new play-friend(s) for, at the very least, several different sessions and, if possible, several different situations. Because not only do we each enjoy different sensations in different ways, but also because different situations or different times of the day, or different events that may have taken place during our day, all have a bearing on our frame-of-mind, or ability to relax and enjoy. And for me, I (now) always try to approach my play-times without too many expectations, and try not to think too much about the “mechanics” of my play-friend.

Sooo, over the past few weeks . . . I’ve been experimenting and playing with, in lots of different situations . . . the Satisfyer Pro Penguin, Satisfyer Pro 2 and the Satisfyer 2, (not pro, but WHOA !!!)

Now, before I tell you more about my experimenting, I do have to mention the packaging of the Satisfyers. They each arrived in a lovely glossy cardboard box with a well designed full colour photograph on the top and reverse, and the usual standard manufacturing information on the sides. A circular plastic-seal on the top, and bottom, flaps confirms that the box has not been opened since it’s initial packaging.

Inside the box(es) a thin, clear moulded-plastic, container cradles the vibrator and, in the case of the re-chargeable Pro Penguin and Pro 2, the USB-charging cable.

A small, multi-language, booklet is supplied which details the manufacturing specifications and materials and operating instructions. (Though the type-size for the smaller sized packaging of Penguin is rather too small to be easily read!)

I did think about creating 3 separate reviews, but as the design-principle of each is, (in my mind at least), basically the same . . . I thought it more useful to summarise an overview of each one and explain my experiences and the subtle differences in operation, performance and, of course, enjoyment!!!

Now I mentioned above that the Satisfyer(s) are suction-style vibrators . . . to be used expressly it would seem for clittoral stimulation. But actually Satisfyer say they work on the basis of a pressure-wave stream of air from the “head” of the toy. So not so much suction, but rather waves of air blowing and wobbling over one’s sensitive bits. This air is projected from the cup-shaped head which is designed to be placed directly over the clitoris. (So if one’s clit doesn’t extend in pre-excitement, you may need to help it “come out to play” by spreading your labia slightly apart).

On the Penguin Pro this head is a nicely formed white mouth made from a soft-ish, slightly flexible, ABS plastic. It is quite comfortable to manoeuvre, and in fact the overall shape of the Penguin Pro, with it’s soft silicone body, is probably the nicest to hold of all three of the Satisfyer’s as it fits so easily, and comfortably, in the palm of your hand.

As you will see from my photos, the bulbous widest part that one naturally grips, is 6 inches in circumference with a narrower neck that then widens to it’s smaller head (just under 5 inches circumference). The mouth itself is ½ inch in diameter which is strangely wider than the mouths of the two larger sister-toys. However despite it’s small and discreet size (it’s only 5 inches in length) it’s surprisingly intense at it’s higher settings.

But it is finding, and controlling, the settings that I find frustrating about the Penguin. Particularly when I was first experimenting with it. It has just one, central controlling panel. That larger white tear-drop shape that you will see on my photos. I find it is easier to operate with one’s thumb. It is turned on by firmly pushing the top part of the shape which lights up to indicate it is “on”. It starts at it’s lowest intensity which is increased by pressing the very subtly marked button in the lower, wider, part of the teardrop. One push increases the intensity, another push increases it again . . . up through 11 levels of increasing intensity.

But actually I found the higher levels too intense . . . and frustrating in the sense that there is no backward, decreasing setting, until you have reached the top level when it seems to re-set itself and start at the lowest setting again. Either that or turning the toy off and starting again! This makes finding the “right” intensity level annoying and upsets ones concentration. I also found that the positioning of the button / teardrop shape is awkward in itself because it faces inwards . . . in other words, towards the body. This, for me, made it difficult to manoeuvre and find the right position and pressure for my playtime.

And, although, I have been able to orgasm in subsequent play-sessions . . . and quite quickly (in fact sometimes too quickly) after more practice with the button and my body positioning . . . I would say the Penguin is my least favourite of the three and therefore probably least likely to feature in my playtimes.

The larger Satisfyer Pro 2 is though, much more for me.

Not so soft to the touch, but still nicely shaped and easy to hold. And the larger mouth, with it’s more fully shaped “head” just seems to slide over me and into position more naturally. And also in a much more natural position, for me at least, are the controls. So on the Pro 2 they face outwards from ones body as you would, naturally hold it when playing. The “on/off” button is a distinct separate button on it’s own, with the intensity button a little further up the handle. The handle itself is about the same diameter as the Penguin, but much longer (5 inches) to the L-shaped head. This head extends about 1 ½ inches from the neck, or top, of the handle . . . and as I say, just seems more natural to hold . . . and position.

As with the Penguin, I find the higher intensity levels are actually a little too intense, or “wobbly”, for me. And, frustratingly, also as with the Penguin, there is no “back” button. It is either up-up-up until it reaches it’s top (11th???) level, or you have to, annoyingly, hold the on/off button for a couple of seconds to turn it off completely, and start over. But oh my, once I find the “right” intensity . . . the sensation is simply convulsing. And possibly because the buttons are larger, and separate from the on/off one, I don’t find the Satisfyer Pro 2 to be as frustrating to get myself started as I do with it’s smaller sister.

Sooo, consequently, I admit to having . . . successfully . . . played with my Pro 2, on several occasions over the past few weeks, AND absolutely LOVING the convulsing caresses it gives.

Now, both the Penguin and the Pro 2 are re-chargeable with a quite easy to use, magnetic-disc attachment that is pulled magnetically to two small charging pins on the base of each toy with the other end being attached via a USB connection to a normal / standard USB-compatible charger. (See my photo above). So there is nothing to push into the toys themselves and I’ve had no problems at all with charging and re-charging.

But the final, and largest, of my three Satisfyers . . . just called the Satisfyer 2
. . . is battery operated. Now this (older-style technology), and the fact that it’s design is less “contemporary looking” or perhaps not quite so ergonomic in shape, might lead you to believe that it was going to be the least satisfactory of my three choices.

Well, you couldn’t be more wrong! Because . . . as I said in my introduction . . . Whoa !!! Despite expectations . . . And despite being the last of the Satisfyers in my experimenting, I simply LOVE this toy.

Not because it is the largest (despite what you may think, I don’t judge everything by size!) It is 7 inches in length and harder to the feel than either of the other two. But it is actually no heavier than the Pro 2, and it’s tapered handle is actually just as easy to hold and position. The range and power of it’s intensity also seems to match the Pro 2 . . .

BUT it is it’s control buttons that are the real clincher for me!!! Because, not only are they outwards facing as well, BUT the buttons on the Satisfyer 2 allow one to cycle not only upwards in intensity, but also downwards, which for me, make such a huge difference. It makes playtime so much more fulfilling . . . and Satisfyer-ing . . . to be able to push one-step upwards for just a little-more, but then one-step back down again, if you need to just slow-down . . . and calm-down . . . the sensations again. So much easier to control and so much easier to maintain one’s concentration.

For me playtime, whether it’s alone with one’s toys, or together with a partner(s), shouldn’t be a rush to orgasm . . . I enjoy things most when I am able to take my time, to build-up and slow-down again. To tease and tantalise and titillate and stimulate. And despite it’s impressive power and intensity, the Satisfyer 2 allows me to do just that, to actually “play” more.

But, when I do, finally, want it, the explosive and shuddering convulsions with the Satisfyer 2, have been just shudderingly wonderful.

And with battery powered toys being, I’d thought, almost a thing of the past, I was worried that with the power of the 2, the batteries would quite quickly run-out. (It takes two small AAA’s). But although I am on my second set, I only changed them because I thought . . . “surely they must go flat soon” . . . and I didn’t want them to stop in the middle of playtime.

I was also worried that the twist-to-open and take-off, compartment might affect the “waterproof”-ability of the toy. But I have actually used the Satisfyer 2 in a heavily bubbled, and quite warm, bath, without any loss of power, or detrimental affect. Not that I use any of my favourite toys in the bath very often, (I just don’t find it comfortable enough to fully let myself go), but in the interests of testing the manufacturer’s claims that all three of these toys are 100% waterproof, I did give them all the “bath test”. And whilst they all survived, and were certainly pleasurable, only one actually brought me successfully to climax. And yes, it was the 2 . . . but that was probably more due to the buttons, rather than superior submarine performance.

So, as you can tell, I do have a firm favourite amongst my three newest play-toys. And if clittoral-stimulation does it for you then I would thoroughly recommend, without a moment of hesitation, the Satisfyer 2 as probably the best value-for-money, gloriously orgasmic and quickly efficient (if quickness is also a high priority) clittoral stimulator it has been my pleasure(s) to experience.

So . . . just to summarise each of my Satisfyer experiences . . .

A Modest Pleasure #sinfulsunday

One of the . . . many . . . fun things about attending Eroticon 2017 earlier this year was the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful sponsors of the event and discover and learn about new and interesting toys and accessories.

And one of the loveliest items I purchased was this beautiful blue dildo from Ceramic Pleasures. And I can assure you, it really has given lots of “pleasure” over the past few weeks!!!

Although I have several different glass dildos and, of course, my wonderful Farringdon Titanium dildo, I’ve never owned a “ceramic” one before. And as well as the completely different feel and sensations it gives . . . I also get quite a thrill knowing that my lovely “blue ridged dream”, as I’ve christened it, is a one-off, hand-made item, and completely one-of-a-kind. (As are all of the intriguingly varied range of dildo’s available from John at Ceramic Pleasure).

Now . . . do please excuse me as I simply just have to stroke those ridges again
. . . but whilst I do, I’m sure you’ll discover lots more pleasures of your own from stroking the Sinful Sunday lips below!

Modest Lubrications @Lubezilla

They say Great Sex is made from Great Communication . . . and whilst that’s certainly always been true for me, I would like to add another line to that mantra . . . “great sex is made even greater by great lubrication”.

Because as I’ve found as I’ve “matured” over the past few years, I really do need more lubrication than I used to. It’s just a natural consequence of growing a little older of course. The desire is still there . . . but as our bodies change, particularly through menopause, we produce less natural juices don’t we.

If you’re a regular visitor here you will know that I’ve been happily non-monogamous for a long, long time. (And I stress the happily . . . and long
. . . LOL!!!!) And in the earlier years of our open-relationship lifestyle I was actually very naïve about lubricants. And possibly even quite dismissive . . . as I simply didn’t ever seem to need any additional wetness.

The only time I would ever think about lube was during swingers evenings when, of course, it was a mandatory accessory . . . but as I say, I was naïve and yes, I will admit, probably uninterested.

What changed my mind? Well . . . nature changed my body . . . and my body changed my mind. So, over the past few years lubrication has been a new, and necessary accessory to my lifestyle.

And as it became more “necessary” . . . So it became much more important for me to think more about exactly what it was that was being spread on to my personal bits.

In the first instance(s) of course, I could sense what I liked and what I didn’t. Not from reading the label or asking for a detailed ingredients breakdown as it was about to be applied. After all in the “subdued” lighting of the couples room at Swingers-4-Fun et al, it was hardly the environment or appropriate moment(s) to enquire. But I could “feel” the sticky, tackiness (sic!!!) . . . or smell . . . or taste, the residue or after-burn! So I suddenly decided that I needed to take much more of an interest in lubricants and what they contained or what they were made of. After all, we are all much more careful nowadays of the additives and ingredients in the food we eat, and the deodorants, soaps and shampoo we use . . . so surely we should be just as careful about the personal body-products we use. In fact even more so !!!

Of course it was easy . . . very easy . . . to quickly shun the straight-off-the-supermarket-shelf, seemingly universally popular and well-known brand-name make. You know the one, the one that looks like cough-mixture and has that consistency of a slow-drying glue!

But where to go from there? After all, each of us are different! And each of us react in different ways and different situations. And nowadays there are just so many different sorts and different styles of lubricating options available.

Ok, well perhaps still not, in one’s local supermarket. But certainly on-line!!!

Water-based, silicone based, oil, hybrid . . . lubricants for anal play, naturally organic lubes, flavoured lubes, non-flavoured lubes. And what about all those ingredients, what are Parabens? Glycerins?

So many options and so many questions . . . it can be confusing and overwhelming even just thinking about them. But don’t worry, I’m not going to go into all those sorts of details here . . . you know me, I’m not the most technically-minded at the best of times.

But I don’t have to be . . . and you don’t either . . . because Lubezilla.com has the most incredible, fully-descriptive and comprehensive lists and links for anything and everything to do with lubricants, that I’ve ever come across.

This amazing website at Lubezilla.com is like a wonderfully wicked-pedia online-resource for what seems like almost every brand, and every type of lubricant, one could ever imagine. And browsing their fabulous website you can’t help but be impressed by the detail and research, and the obvious amount of time and effort that has gone into it’s development.

The layout is clear and easy to read and every link and every product seems to have an amazingly detailed description of  lubricant type, size, content, and ingredient-list of just what it’s made from.

AND every item has it’s own 1-minute-plus, descriptive video with product demonstrations and concise information about the particular brand and it’s uses. They are simply fabulous!!!

The Lubezilla 101 section of the site features blog-style postings covering a huge range of interesting and informative stories and helpful hints and answers to all those Frequently Asked Questions that one might have about not just Lubricants, but Condoms, sexual health and best practices.

AND . . . I’m getting all “lubricated” the more I talk about it . . . Lubezilla.com . . . doesn’t just stock lubricants, they also offer an absolutely huge range of Adult Toys and Accessories and an equally large range of Body and Beauty and Sexual Hygiene products.

For my North American readers Lubezilla.com has free delivery on all orders over $50 . . . BUT don’t worry, they do ship internationally as well, and the packaging is discreet and noted as “novelty products”.

As I say, I’ve become quite excited as I’ve been sitting here typing away about Lubezilla.com . . . and I’m sure you will soon be thrilling to learn more about lubrication . . . and more . . . as well.  So I truly urge you to start with their lovely welcoming video by clicking on the link above (or >here< if you’re already too excited to be able to scroll back up the page!!!) I know you won’t be disappointed.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Fantasy Wand” @UberKinky

I’ve been curious about electro-play for some time . . . curious because I have often been asked about it by prospective submissives . . . but the only Electro-Stim toy in my Mistresses-box up until now (my Cockshocker) has proved a little too extreme for most of them.

So I was delighted to receive the Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Fantasy Wand from my favourite on-line Kink store, Uberkinky, not only because of it’s description as being “perfect for electro-sex beginners”, but also because it allows hand-held, rather than fixed strap-on, use. There are lots of different electro-stim devices and apparatus at electro sex pages, but from the look and design of the Fantasy Wand, I felt it would be ideal for a little more “sympathetic” control.

The Wand is nicely packaged in a glossy cardboard box with excellent illustrative instructions and tips printed on the reverse and sides. But I must admit that when I first unwrapped the wand from it’s bubble-wrapping, the plastic-moulded shaft itself did feel a little “cheap”. However, once I overcame that initial disappointment, it is light and easy to hold and is certainly simple to operate with a large control button which allows one to cycle through nine different levels of intensity. Each level is indicated by a red LED number which displays at the top of the switch as it changes. The power, or charge, is provided by one normal AA Alkaline battery which slides into a compartment on the base of the handle. The battery is not supplied by-the-way, so you would have to purchase that separately, (or borrow from one of your other battery operated toys, or household items).

The wand itself is just over 6 inches long but is supplied with three different, detachable, heads which screw onto the top of the wand and each gives a slightly different sensation, particularly at the lower intensity settings*. The flat head (30mm square) has five rows of what I would describe as small “spikes” raised above the surface. They are actually very small but give the feeling of “sparking-pinpricks” on contact. The larger cylindrical head (40mm long and around 60mm in circumference at its widest point) gives a more tangible “jolt”, whilst the smaller, rounded head (10mm in diameter) has a more “tingling” sensation. *These three, distinct, sensations are more discernible at the lower intensity settings because, for me at least, if the intensity is set on the higher level of 8 or 9, my own uncontrollable reaction is to pull away immediately on contact . . . without wanting to try and differentiate on the specific sensation! I am obviously an electro-sissy and not capable, in any way, of being on the receiving end!!!

And I know this because I found it quite tricky initially to operate the wand. Not tricky in the sense of turning it on, or selecting the level I wanted to dish-out, but tricky in the actual application . . . because in order to discharge-the-charge, one has to firmly hold the head of the wand against the receivers skin, and not just tap it against the skin as I kept wanting to do. I think the anticipation of imagining that the receiver would immediately “jump” meant that initially I was involuntarily just tapping the head on my sub’s flesh and not holding it down, firmly in place. So, of course, I was pulling the head away far too quickly for it to actually discharge.

But once I mastered my rhythm of application . . . I actually found it quite fun to watch and apply as my “testing-assistant” jumped and exclaimed . . . and described the sensation of each charge. Oh, and there is no need to worry about over-doing the charge, because simply holding down the button for more than a few seconds automatically turns the wand off. I found this a bit tricky to master at first as well, but . . . practice makes perfect!

I did learn rather quickly though, to not touch the “receiving” partner or submissive, with my free hand because that obviously completes an electrical circuit, or contact, and sent a surging jolt right back to me! So be warned, if you are an electro-sissy like me, apply . . . but don’t touch . . .

Uberkinky do say that conductivity can be improved by applying some electro-gel to the receiver’s skin . . . and whilst I haven’t used a specific electro-gel, I have found that applying some normal water-based lube has a similar affect.

Now I realise that real aficionados of electro-stim will probably consider The Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Fantasy Wand as a rather inconsequential toy . . . and I also realise that electro-play will certainly not be for everyone, especially as we all have different levels, or limits, as to what we like or can take. But, after a bit of practice, I’ve actually found it to be quite a lot of fun. And I think the different intensity levels and settings, also make it a useful starting toy for some sexy playtime fun with one’s own partner. It even comes with a small black-out mask to heighten the intensity with the extra-fun element of surprise.

And, in any event, for the sake of comparison and different options, Uberkinky have lots of “other” electric items and accessories available at their Electro Sex page >here<.

The Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Fantasy Wand:
Modesty Rating:
6 out of 10

Cons: The heads are a little “fiddily” to screw on at times and I worry about cross-threading after a period of time.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Rimba Bondage Belt” @UberKinky

Whilst it’s always fun to simply handcuff one’s submissive’s wrists together, or perhaps attach their arms to a fixed frame or St Andrews Cross, there are often times when I want them to be more mobile. To be able to lead them around and have unhindered access to their bum or back in one moment . . . and then spin them around to have some fun pinching nipples and, of course, whatever else is available . . . the next!

And this Rimba Bondage Belt and Handcuff set, from my favourite on-line Kink store Uberkinky, is ideal for those exact moments.

The Rimba Bondage Belt arrived quite modestly packaged in just a zip-lock plastic bag with a cardboard insert with one photograph and the manufacturers logo. (Delivered in a discreet manilla postal jiffy bag of course).

But the strong leather manufacture and simple design need no other explanation or packaging as the purpose and intention of the belt is perfectly obvious.

The belt itself is 2 inches wide and made from high quality Black Leather with stitched edging and a large chrome buckle firmly attached with two chrome rivets. It comes in two sizes, to fit Small to Medium waist, or Medium to Large. Each side of the belt has a large chrome D-ring attached (again with double chrome rivet attachments) to which the wrist cuffs are attached with chrome carabiners-clips.

Also made from strong black leather, the wrist cuffs have the 1¼ inch wide, and 12 inch long leather tongue attached to the 2 inch wide bands themselves with 4 strong chrome rivets. Once again the buckle is a strong chrome fixing, as is the D-ring which, with it’s carabiner clip, attaches one to each side of the belt.

For it’s first use, I was able to attach it quickly and easily to my submissives belt, which after my firm instruction, he had already buckled himself up into.

And it certainly does what it is intended to, as I began our session. The D-rings on the cuffs are large enough to allow rope and other attachments to be clipped on as well . . . as my willing (always willing!) submissive soon found out. I had him attached quite differently to how he would normally be restrained and that in itself led to heightened levels of intensity. I sometimes worry if I have a subs arms stretched up above his head, or cuffed behind his back for too long a time. But . . . apparently this arms-by-the-side restraint is much more comfortable. Even if my administrations to his back . . . and front . . . were far less so.

So I am delighted with this latest addition to my sessioning equipment and can highly recommend this Rimba Bondage Belt and Handcuff set from Uberkinky. And don’t forget there are many more Bondage items and accessories available at their Bondage Gear page >here<.

The Rimba Bondage Belt with Hand Cuffs:
Modesty Rating:
9 out of 10
Pros: Easy to put the belt on and quickly clip ones submissive’s wrist cuffs to the waist band.
Cons: I think the wrist cuffs would benefit from another D-ring on the other side of the cuff, near the buckle, to make additional fixtures/restraint easier.
Material: Good quality black leather with chrome metal finishing and D-ring attachments.
Measurements: Belt sizes of Small to Medium Size to fit 75 – 90cm; or Medium to Large Size to fit 90 – 105cm. Main belt width of 2 inches. The Wrist Cuffs are just under 12 inches long and 1¼ inch wide.
Colour: Black.
Waterproof: No.
After-care: As with normal leather products they should be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried immediately afterwards.

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Sex Bondage Kit” from pinkbob.com

Whatever ones thoughts on the merits of the Fifty Shades phenomenon, there is no denying that it certainly  brought the subject of BDSM out of the “shadows” and into the mainstream. And with the second film in the series about to be released here in the UK, it is sure to arouse yet more interest again.

So I was pleasantly surprised when a quite substantial Sex Bondage Starters Kit arrived in my mailbox recently. Not that I’m a “starter” of course . . . if you’ve been visiting me here over the past few years you will know how much I enjoy my BDSM-side . . . but it’s always nice to experiment with new and different play-things. Particularly when those playthings are from PinkB.O.B., the manufacturer of my all-time favourite Rechargeable Wand Vibrator The Lust (see my review from October).

The Sex Bondage Kit is from PinkBob’s reasonably new Master Kink range and contains eight different items (at an amazing price) which is sure to provide lots of fun, and lots of adventures, whether you are indeed a “starter” or, a more “experienceed” kinkster.

Now, I firstly wanted to say that all of the items here appear to have been made in China. But don’t you dare throw up your hands in disgust and tell me that that must mean “low quality”, because that is far from the case! The quality, and strength, of all of the items here (and YES I have already tested all of them in more than one session) is actually very impressive.

All the actual measurements of each item are available from the manufacturers Amazon page links below (in my normal Specifications Panel), so I won’t list them again all individually, but my favourite item is the Black Mini Flogger.  It is just the perfect weight and size for some close-up and personal (I’m sure you know where) flogging. The handle is just over 4 inches in length and about ¾ inch diameter and fits perfectly in ones hand. It is very light and comfortable to hold, and the fifteen thin leather strands (each just over ½ inch wide) make for a lovely stinging sensations when “in use”. I have used it now on several occasions over the past few weeks and it has become one of the first items I reach for from my “Mistress Cabinet” when I am packing for a new session. In other words, it can make more of an impression than you might at first think . . . but equally makes an ideal first-impact-toy for kinky bedroom foreplay as well.

As in fact, do all the items included in the Master Kink Bondage Kit. And, as I mentioned, the kit price is just amazing when you consider it includes The Flogger, two Wrist Cuffs (with a detachable chain link), a quite lovely Black Leather Mask, a Breathable Ball Gag (which I have already previously reviewed in May 2016), a strong Black Bondage Rope, Nipple Clamps, a Black Leather Collar and a Black Leash (which can clip onto either the Collar itself, or the Wrist Cuffs).

And, a nice touch as well, is the inclusion of a small fold-out leaflet of the “Master Kink Official Guide to Bondage” . . . although I would have liked more information to have been included with each item on material details and after-care.

As well as the eight items included in the Bondage Kit itself, Master Kink (which seems more appropriate for me to use in this context rather than PinkB.O.B.) also sent me a Hog Tie Restraint, a thicker Black Leather Collar & Chain Leash, and some Chain Nipple Clamps.

If you’ve never used Hog Tie Restraints before I can assure you they are certainly lots of fun. The soft faux fur material, and velcro fastening, make them easy and comfortable to apply. They really are ideal for some naughty bedroom fun and perfectly safe to use.

As are the Chain Nipple Clamps which are rubber tipped and non-piercing and non-abrasive, and have a sliding catch for adjustable “pressure”, but still easily and quickly removed. So you get all the pleasure and arousal of nipple play without any lasting  pain.

And finally, that thick Black Leather Collar and it’s Chain Leash. With it’s main leather neck strap of 2 ¼ inches wide and attached thinner restraining strap (1 ¼ inch wide and chrome buckle and double rivet holes) it is adjustable from 12 to 17 ½ inches. It has a strong chrome D-ring attachment at the front to which one can attach the supplied Chain Leash. The leash itself is 31 inches long so ideal for leading ones submissive around the Dungeon, (or as I did last week, on a Fetish-Club night out).

As I’ve mentioned already, all of these items are available at quite amazing prices from Master Kink’s Amazon pages from the links below. I don’t think they ship internationally, but if you live within the US, I highly recommend you make Master Kink your first-stop Fetish shop!!!

The Sex Bondage Kit from Master Kink:
Modesty Rating:
8 out of 10
Pros: Well made and strongly manufactured. Amazingly priced for my North American readers.
Cons: Minimal individual product information supplied (though some measurements etc are listed on the buy-links below).

Modesty Ablaze reviews the “Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap On Harness” @UberKinky

I find there’s something quite empowering about pulling-on a strap-on! Even before my Mistressing, I had bought one several years earlier . . . for “home-use”. Just for that feeling of being completely and totally in control, reversing the “norm” . . . and you’ll probably know how much I enjoy reversing the norm!

That very first strap-on was actually neither comfortable nor practical and I had to replace it once I began more regular “sessioning”. But I’d never been completely happy with the replacement I’d chosen either . . . sacrificing style for what I thought would be stronger and more likely to stay in the right place once I’d got it on. So I was quite pleased when I received the Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap On Harness from my favourite on-line kink store Uberkinky as, at the very least, I would have an alternative option in my Mistressing wardrobe.

Uberkinky have quite a selection of items in their Strap On Harnesses range, so one is spoilt for choice. But I am delighted to say that the Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap On Harness has immediately become not just an alternative option . . . but the only option . . . for my sessions.

The harness arrived quite modestly packaged inside a clear, sealed, plastic bag. No outer packaging, apart from the plain manilla bubble-wrap lined postal envelope of course! But as soon as one feels the actual leather itself, you immediately feel the quality and strength of manufacture, and no it is not made in China . . . it is actually manufactured in Canada!!!

The cherry colour gives the Aslan a stylish look on it’s own, but it is the fine stitching and strong chrome double-rivets, d-rings and buckles that make this harness stand-out from my previous (and now discarded) strap-on apparel.

The design of the front triangular panel, and easily adjustable straps, make the Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap On Harness really quite light, easy to put-on, and extremely comfortable to wear. That front panel has a circular opening for a dildo (not included) and three adjustable straps with strong chrome button studs which unclip, and clip back again, to hold a rubber o-ring to hold your dildo in place.

Just an important note: the Aslan Strap-on Harness doesn’t come with a dildo, but the harness does come with an o-ring already attached, which proved to be a perfect fit for my favourite red “starter” dildo. But I found it quick and easy to replace this with a slightly larger one when up-sizing to my medium or large dildo’s . . . for my more “experienced” submissives.

Chrome d-rings attach the straps of the belt at each side of the top of  the front panel. At 1” wide these straps are just the perfect width, stable and so comfortable you soon forget they are what is holding “your manhood” in position. The adjustable buckles on each side of the belt means that the harness fits comfortably around one’s hips rather than the waist! There are two slightly thinner (3/4″) straps attached to the bottom of the front panel which run under the crotch and back up to the back-belt. These straps can be worn in either a g-string type arrangement running side-by-side between one’s bum-cheeks, or in a jock-strap style across the cheeks up to the belt. Again they are completely, and easily, adjustable where they attach to the belt, but . . . and this is my only criticism of the Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap-on Harness . . . I would have liked there to have been a small band, or perhaps clip of some kind, to hold the strap together after it slots through the locking d-rings and folds back on itself.

The natural curl of the leather makes the ends of each strap here curl up and away from the body . . . I know I am only talking about an aesthetic “look” that in no-way detracts from the function of this strap-on harness, and that you will probably think I am just being overly anal (excuse the pun!) . . . but “the look of things” is always important to me as well.

So, if you look closely at the pictures to the right you will see that I have attached some tape around the ends just to keep them flat . . . but, as I say, you may think I am just being “anal”.

But really that is my only, only criticism of the wonderful Aslan Leather Cherry Jag Strap-on Harness . . . and as I mentioned at the beginning of my review . . . this harness has become my favourite and the very first item I pack into my sessioning carry-case!!!

The Modesty Rider:
I realise, of course, that there are already thousands of long-established Sex Toy Reviewers and Review sites . . . most of whom will be far more adept at explaining all the technical details and specifications of things. But for me, sexy clothes and lingerie, sexy toys . . . and even sexy books . . . are all about adding a little fun and excitement to things. So that is how I tend to approach my reviews and videos!!! Just to explain “how it was for me” in a fun, and light-hearted, way without taking things too seriously! Chances are that if something makes me giggle and tingle and feel good, it will score higher on my Modesty Rating.
