Modestly Mellow #Boobday Friday
Thank you to all who have asked why I haven’t been “posting on Friday’s” lately.
As I mentioned in my Members Update at the beginning of June, I have been so busy lately that Boobday photo-opportunities have been rather limited.
However Hubby and I did manage a fun, naked-stroll, amongst a sea of yellow on a lovely warm Saturday in the middle of May.
And as my nips were constantly being tickled during our hike across the fields,
I thought that two of the many photos from that day, would be quite appropriate for Hy’s Boobday Friday, because:

A Modest Run Rate #sinfulsunday
As you may remember, I’ve begun to familiarise myself with the game of cricket over the past year. Especially after being told so many times how skilled I am with bats and balls. And, as we are presently hosting the Cricket World Cup,
I thought I would explain some of the basic rules and procedures necessary for one to enjoy the game to it’s fullest extent.
Firstly, let’s practice in the nets. I normally prefer mine in black of course, but that would hardly be appropriate apparel . . . and would definitely be considered as un-sportsmanlike behaviour . . . which I always try to avoid.
However, one’s stance can often be used to upset the bowlers concentration,
and try to put him off his stride . . . referred to as “sledging” !!! Mmm . . .
Which may have the affect of him bowling a “wide”, which the umpire (that quiet gentleman standing nearby in a hat and white blazer), will signal by making a gesture like this . . . well not exactly like this! (He always keeps his blazer on).
Or, if he makes a gesture like this, it means the bowler has taken one step too far
. . . and it’s ruled as a “no ball” . . . or a “free hit” to you and me . . . and I always enjoy free-hits!
And both arms held wide like this, signifies that the bats-person has whacked the ball so hard . . . and I do love whacking balls really, really hard . . . that it has scored a “six” (so obviously, that’s where “six of the best” has come from then!)
By the way, these white-boards-on-wheels that I’m standing in front of, are called Sight Screens and are to help us bats-people see the bowlers balls more clearly . . . they’ve cleverly thought of everything haven’t they!
So let’s leave the boundary and stroll out into the middle . . . as you can see, the covers are completely off . . . so they are not expecting a “sticky wicket” today.
But let me tell you . . . once I’ve enjoyed a few overs . . . things may get just a little sticky later on. And I don’t mean if rain stops play!!!
So there you have it . . . I do hope that my short introduction has given a
better appreciation of what is happening when you hear that wonderful sharp smacking sound . . . of bat on balls . . . whether it is on the local village green, or on this summer’s television screens.
There will probably be lots more whacking sights and sounds, to be found at

Modestly Yellow #sinfulsunday
“Well, if you want to walk all the way to the end, you’ll have to bring our clothes with you. Roll them up and tuck them under your arm”.
“Yes they do smell . . . but I don’t really like it. Smells a bit like pee to me!”
“Oooh . . . it does feel rather nice . . . nice and tingly actually!”
“Don’t worry about my bits . . . you’re far more likely to get tangled-up than I am . . . especially if you don’t calm down a bit!”
“It’s just as well neither of us suffer from hayfever isn’t it?”
“It’s just fields of yellow whichever way you look . . . we could get lost!!!”
I’m sure there will be lots more tingling, and possibly tangling, to be found at this week’s Sinful Sunday from smelling the lips below!

A Modest Pumphouse #sinfulsunday
“Actually that noise isn’t coming from this Tractor” I said to Hubby.
“It’s from inside that building”.
“Oh look . . . it’s a ‘Pump House’.” I giggled as we neared the doorway.
“It’s not the sort of pumping you’re thinking” Hubby said as he read the plaque outside. “It was the old Water Pumping Station that serviced the city in the late 1800’s. Let’s take a look.” he said excitedly.
“The Flywheel weighs 16 tonne and used to pump up to 13,600 cubic metres of water per day” he shouted across the viewing gallery.
“I can’t hear you properly over this noise” I shouted back. “But it’s certainly pumping out lots of hot air!”
“Whoo . . . I’ve come over all sticky” I said as I walked round to join him.
“Come on, let’s go back outside, this constant noise is getting unbearable.”
“Gosh, it’s like standing on top of a huge, shuddering, vibrator isn’t it.” I shouted out, “I wouldn’t have been able to control myself being stuck in here all day!!!”
But, as you may remember, I do like getting up-close to big equipment occasionally . . . at least for a little while.

A Modest Cable Car #sinfulsunday
Hubby simply doesn’t have a head for heights . . . but whenever I’m on holiday,
I feel almost obligated to visit the local attractions, so I insisted we take the
Cable Car to the top of the mountain.
And . . . to try take his mind off just how far above the lake we were,
I did my best to distract him on the journey!
Especially as the “clunks” were quite loud as we passed through
each pylon point!
Well, at least I felt quite exhilarated . . . and thrilled with the beautiful view!
And I’m sure there will be more beautiful views on display at Sinful Sunday today, from tapping the lips below!

Modest Xmas Decking #sinfulsunday
“Yes I know it’s nice to spend Christmas in the sun for a change,” I called out to Hubby. “But that doesn’t mean you can lay out in the garden all day!”
“This barbeque won’t light itself you know. Get up here on the deck and do something constructive for once on this holiday!”
“I know it’s not a Christmas hat, but I needed to put something on for protection from the sun. It’s very hot out here you know.”
“No I haven’t got pigs-in-blankets . . . lamb’s what they have for Christmas dinner out here. I thought you, of all people, would have known that!!!”
“No it won’t be over-done” I hissed at his questioning. “The only things that are going to get burnt are your pathetic ‘baubles’ if you don’t put that bloody camera down and lend a helping hand!”
It seems no matter what the hemisphere, Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas, without an argument or two over dinner.
Anyway I’m sure there will be less arguments and more celebrations to be discovered at this week’s Sinful Sunday from smacking the lips below!
