At this time of the year I’m almost constantly thinking of, and longing for,
those lovely long Grecian nights.
When one can sit out on the balcony, relaxing with a glass of wine (of course) enjoying the hot summer air, and . . .
. . . just waiting for the sun to come up in the morning !!!
But in the meantime I’m sure there will be lots more “Shadowy Views”
to peer into by tapping the Sinful Sunday lips below !!!

Just three more sleeps until Christmas. So this short post is to say a special heartfelt thank you to all of my “Pour Me A Glass of Wine Members” who have been helping to keep my glass full since the beginning of April this year.
I have, of course, enjoyed all of those glasses, but more importantly it has been truly special receiving such lovely complimentary emails, and hearing that my answers to your questions . . . or even sometimes just my regular postings here at Modesty Ablaze . . . have in some way helped or cheered difficult times and circumstances for some.
And, as lots of you asked for more videos from my summer holidays, I hope this clip of some “Beach Watermelon” fun will bring more giggles and smiles.
So, once again, thank you for spoiling me here, and helping me keep my glass full, and I really do hope that you will enjoy this, and my earlier member’s clips and photos.

Well the past week has been so busy that I’ve probably missed the last post.
And, as much as I dislike those blinking and scrolling E-Xmas-Cards, I shall have to relent and send my cards out digitally this year.
So I’ve just returned from dragging Hubby out this afternoon in the
early evening twilight, to make do with the roadside decorations at
our local park for, my 2019 Christmas Photo Card.
(Actually the same location as my 2017 Christmas post!!!)
Anyway, it’s the thought that counts isn’t it, so I’d like to send my warmest Christmas Wishes . . . and Christmas Kisses wherever you like them the most . . . and hope you all have a loving, sharing, peaceful and FUN Christmas!!!

This week’s theme at Food 4 Thought Friday asks “The Why of Blogging” and in particular, “What is it that compels you to write?”
I have posted before . . . in July 2014 actually . . . on how Modesty Ablaze first came about in my “Past, Present and Why I Blog” Wicked Wednesday post. But as to the how’s and why’s of continuing to post???
Well . . . I suppose it is partly because my pages here allow me to indulge my exhibitionist streak . . . though in “real life” I am actually quite shy and reserved.
But it is also because, despite often worrying that people will surely get bored with my constant “holiday snaps”, I do get so many emails from people asking for more.
No I don’t mean, just asking for more naked photos . . . I mean asking more about my lifestyle, my “kinks”, my experiences . . . and my thoughts on all sorts of relationship or personal issues.
And I often feel guilty that I just can’t seem to find the time these days, to answer all of those messages personally.
So . . . being a more “visual” person, rather than being able to easily communicate my thoughts in words . . . I hope that my occasional photo-posts here express my core belief that above all else, we should always be true to ourselves . . . and always be just who we want to be !!!
And so that is what “compels” me to keep posting . . . as often as time allows . . . here at Modesty Ablaze.

I know I have mentioned here before how I love to get-to-grips with really, really large items of machinery !!!
So this very big digger certainly caught my eye as we drove
from the airport towards our apartment on our arrival.
However, it was in constant use over the next few days, as repair work
was being carried out along the main road.
So I had to be patient and wait until the first Sunday of our holiday,
to be able to drive back and make a closer inspection . . .
. . . and feel that lovely strong metal . . . and firm hard rubber
hot from the midday sun.
Luckily for us, we’d timed our visit at just the right time, because
the very next day all the workmen returned!!!
I’m sure there will lots more mechanics and construction at this week’s
Sinful Sunday to be discovered by pushing the lips below!

P.S. – I have had a similar Earth Moving Moment on a previous holiday

But when the sun is at it’s hottest . . . as it was on this day . . . it really is important to keep popping into the shade every 15 minutes or so !!!
