“Would you prefer the Amusement Park, or a stroll on the Pier?” Hubby asked.
“Well, after those Doughnuts we’ve just had, I suppose it has to be a stroll out along the Pier!” I replied.
“Oh goodness, it is rather a long way out!” I said as we stepped out onto the walkway. “I’m not going to be able to match his pace!” I gasped as the gentleman who’d been behind us at the ticket booth, strode quickly past.
“Well we could catch the train out there” Hubby said. “Apparently it runs back and forth every 15 minutes”.
“No, we’re over halfway there now” I pointed, “so let’s just carry on!”
“The guide-book says it is the longest Pier in the world” Hubby said as I rested
by the mile-marker.
“Look, we are almost there now. I hope they serve more than just tea and coffee there though!”
“I do think it’s a bit windy for beach huts way out here on the Pier!”
“Yes, perhaps that’s the reason they’ve closed early for the day.” Hubby replied.
And, rather disappointingly after our long stroll, it was only tea and coffee on sale at the bar. So we decided to catch the Train back to the beach . . . to seek out a nice Wine Bar we’d spotted earlier.
But I’m sure there will be lots of appearances of a different kind, to be viewed by tapping the Sinful Sunday button below!
I’m hoping of course, that our long stroll along the boards will qualify me for the “Pier” category at Jade’s wonderful and
