Now, let me make myself perfectly clear . . . I do love rules.
I love breaking them . . . and . . . I love making them!
But I was initially a little flustered at reading that this week’s prompt at Molly’s Sinful Sunday, was to submit a photo that must follow the “Rule of Thirds”. That the photo composition must be able to be divided into nine equal parts formed by two intersecting horizontal and vertical lines.
And then I remembered how much I love dividing items into intersections . . . especially when they are three-thirds of a whole, if you know what I mean.
But, assuming I am not disqualified for squeezing-the-rules, you may find more technically-correct “Rule of Thirds” images by slowly, and carefully, reaching down and squeezing the lips below!

An art instructor explained the rule of thirds to me a bit differently than the prompt sets them out; I think how the guideline is applied varies greatly depending on the artist and the medium.
I like this interpretation. It stretches the imagination. 😉
